I agree they should get more. But I mean Starbucks does sell quite a bit of coffee so wouldn't the 3 cents add up? But maybe that is their thinking and you know, if they are gonna charge like, what is it, $3-$4 for a small coffee, I think they could kick the 3 cents up a notch. They have plenty of their own money.
the point is not that it "adds up", but the fact that they're not paying the farmers a fair share for what they do... and it just goes to show that corperations are greedy and will exploit people when they can, for personal gain. :/
it's not just starbucks, it's everywhere. but we can make a concious effort to not support it as much as possible.
I understand that although I also wonder where the Ethiopian farmers will get their money if we stop buying the coffee. They'll go from getting 3 cents to no cents unless Starbucks does buckle down and start paying them more. Stupid cycle :(
i feel that too. the video makes me sad, but it's not completely starbucks's fault. i mean, from a business standpoint they're going an excellent job: buying cheap and selling high. maybe that's just the republican in me, but whatever.

I'm definitely going to see exactly what Caribou Coffee is giving to their farmers. I'd be sadden if we had a similar situation like SB. :\
I really love the city that used Darth Vadar in it.
Thanks for this video.
