If people were hoping for a continuation to my previous post, I considered not writing one because it might run on too long and because I might say alot of hateful things. Such is what I encounter everytime I commute home (and it does get worse from what I've mentioned so far). So if people actually want to hear a continuation of rants/bitchings on the irrational actions of people, just say so. Oh, and feel free to add on with some of your experiences - still waiting to hear a very interesting/unique one, which I hope will beat a linebacker grandma (she must've looked like she was in her sixties) shoving people away to get on the train and she was actually winning or people just felt sorry for her (which I seriously doubt in this country). Would've told her that there was a senior citizen's area in the train but I felt that I might sound sarcastic saying it and I just didn't want to have to do that to someone elderly, even if she was rather pushy.
Reading two books at the moment: John Grisham's The Innocent Man and Khaled Hosseini's Kite Runner. Former is for reading pleasure and the latter is for class. Read Kite Runner a year back and its a great book, and it still is. The Innocent Man is a new Grisham novel, and I stress this because this one actually happened. It tells about a small-town prosecution of a group of people who were framed for abduction, rape and murder. I have to say that it appeals to me because it pissed me off - cops can be so stupid and the law can be so damned blind most of the time.
Recently read material include: David Baldacci's Stone Cold, David Baldacci's Simple Genius (Yes, I am a big fan of David Baldacci), David Pirie's The Patient's Eyes, Paulo Coehlo's Like the Flowing River, David Pirie's The Night Calls (David Pirie is a must-read author too).
Btw, I know I probably shouldn't be advertising but I've started to acknowledge the fact that I am currently being paid by people to write essays/papers for them. So if you know of anyone who is considering this, look me up. I'm always up for some more 'business' and it would be convenient if we both resided in the same country =p
Oh right, met up with an old acquaintance the other day (the day I went to DLSU). Had lunch, caught up on some stuff but it was mostly talking about the stupidities happening around us until it got to the point where she was spooning the sauce of her previously ordered beef curry dish. Its nice to know I still value good food and I chose the place for the very reason that it had good food because DLSU does not; exorbitant prices + reheated + tiny portions = not worth it (you get the picture).
And last night, I was at Makati Shangri-la's Circles and I curse myself for having a snack at around 5pm (because these people I call my family have neglected to inform me until it was about 6pm that we are having dinner with some people at Circles at 7pm *swears alot*). Anyway, it wasn't a total loss on my part but I did stop after 5 helpings (ARGH!) though I usually have 6-7 and that includes dessert. Partly because my 3rd helping consisted of alot of food and I will post the pic I took of that helping, but I forgot to take the picture of my 4th helping which consisted entirely of meat. The dessert wasn't all that good so I skipped the pics (their crepe was so bad it pissed me off and I generally hated their dessert table and damn them for not having blueberries).
