Ooh, baby, can't you see? Wakatte hoshii, this is my kimochi

Hello, world. I figured I'd give an update on how my Japanese study is going. I'm still enjoying it greatly, and I feel that I'm making great progress. Most of my day is devoted to study now, which suits me just fine. I've spent most of today building up a music library of Japanese music, I'm already at over a gig and not even close to done. I'm very much enjoying this stuff, and I can't tell happy I am to just be listening to new music. The fact that it's going towards my immersion process is just a (huge) added benefit.

I'm at about, maybe... 170 kanji or so? I don't have them perfectly memorized, but I'm getting there.

Yesterday I tried watching anime without subtitles for the first time. Obviously, I couldn't understand it very well. But, I was able to follow the general plot and pick out certain phrases and exchanges. I'll say that I understood it well enough that I wasn't bored watching it, so that's definitely something.

Hmmm, is there anything to say not related to Japanese study? ... not really. Stay tuned, kids.

気お付けって!
