Okay. Um, hi journal. You're a bit intimidating, you know that? I keep thinking, "I should post," but every time there's this absolute feeling of intimidation. Why is that? Do I feel like I can't do my own life justice in the way I would transcribe it? That might be it. We're gonna push through, though. My life has done that thing it seems to do, and I'm surprised it took it this long.
It's changed drastically.
Let's start with the basics. Lauren and I broke up. I find this regrettable, as I still care very much about her. Things were toxic, though, and I know we both saw that. So, we're not really talking right now as I think it will give us both a chance to grow as people and therefor communicate better with one another. I do hope that we can be good friends eventually.
I'm with someone new, now, her name is Jia. The circumstances through which the two of us got together are pretty complicated, and quite possibly not the business of the general public. But suffice to say that our lives crashed together in an unplanned way, and we connected in a major way. Since then we've been pretty stupid about each other, and things have all gone really fast from there.
Like, we kind of got an apartment together.
Yeah. What? It's pretty crazy. Hopefully I'm not making a giant mistake, but it's all felt pretty right so far. I've got a really good job lined up that I start tomorrow, we should be pretty good on the money front. We're very happy together, and I hope this is a lasting trend. She gets me on a level no one else has, so that's big, and I don't want to pass the opportunity up to explore it.
So, what else is new? We took in a stray kitten, who has already become a total attention whore and is trying to walk on the keyboard at this very moment, yowling for my attention. I've met a lot of new people, some great, some not so great. I stayed with a priest for a few weeks while I got my life here set up. That was... interesting. I fired a gun (several guns, actually) for the first time recently, too. That was a unique experience, which got me thinking about things that I may elaborate on in a separate entry. Eventually. Maybe.
OH! Where I am, kinda left that part out. I'm in Florida, I was staying in Fort Walton Beach, and have since moved to Milton. It's the middle of nowhere, but it's close to work and less than a half an hour away from Pensacola, so it's not so bad. And I'm sharing it with a wonderful partner and an adorable kitten, so I really can't complain.
That's life, in a nutshell.
Twelve years Light worked
And on a cold night, in the year 200X,
Protoman was born.
A perfect man, an unbeatable machine
Hellbent on destroying every evil standing between man and freedom
Built for one purpose:
To destroy Wily's arm of evil robots
Ready, willing, prepared to fight
