Welcome? I don't know what things were like where you're from, or how badly you want to get back, but... It's not bad here, when you get used to it.

Still thinking about that, based on current information. One day isn't the best to make a decision, is it? Though it's slightly amusing to go from one kidnapping to another. [ Bennett laughs, slightly. ]

What does getting used to it detail?

One day isn't nearly enough, no. ...Yeah, there's definitely some amusement there.

I don't think I spoke right. You won't ever, from what I can tell, get completely used to it. But there comes a time when gathering food becomes routine and when an event that changes around the place only gives you a second's pause before you adapt.

Within less than twenty-four hours, even. [ Bennett's worried about the people she left behind but doesn't dwell on it for the moment. ]

So is there a stable ecology here? Do people mostly grow their own food, or obtain it from markets? I know I ask a lot of questions, but the faster I get a hold on what is going on here, the better.

There's an orchard for fruit at [x,y], and then there are two greenhouses. The one is run by a pair of brothers, um, Tringhams, I think their name is, and it's at [x,y]. The other is run by a guy that's obsessed with his daughter, Hughes, and it's at [x,y].

I don't mind the questions, there's a lot to ask and learn. Shops show up and vanish here pretty often. Sometimes they've got dried goods and canned stuff, sometimes they have clothing, and sometimes they're already looted. Some people give, some people barter, some people hoard.

All right. [ And you can hear her writing all this down, though she has found out how to go through the messages sent to her over the PCD by now. ] What about protein? Poultry, beef, that sort of thing. Is the water fishable here?

Ah. That would make planning very difficult. I wonder how hard it is to learn canning... [ The verbal equivalent of a shrug. ]

How long have you been here, Tenten?

There's plenty of fish. Watch out for the giant squid in the lake if you go there to try. As far as other protein, the only cows are 'fruit cows.' Their milk tastes fruity. There are chickens and there are a lot of rabbits in the city. They attack, though. Um, if you want bigger, you'll have to go out to the Waste. But you probably don't want to go alone.

It does. And I don't know, but there's a library at [x,y]? I've learned how to dry meat and keep it. Neji, my teammate, might know about canning.

Me? About... oh wow. Half a year... I hadn't counted in a while.

Fruit cows. That...I am not even certain how that would work, biologically. [ Thinking. ] That would be interesting to see, I suppose. And I'm fairly certain I can't fish, but still it's good to know what is plausible and what isn't.

The rabbits attack?

Oh, a library. That would be useful! Is there a current history to this place?

I spoke to someone else who has been here a year and a half. [ Thoughtful. ] Long enough to adjust to a foreign situation, I'm certain.

They're not really fruit. But they're colored and the milk is different. Um, if you'd like, I've never tried to fish either. But it could help my house.

They're called killer rabbits? They don't tend to attack except in groups, and then they're a little bit of a threat.

I've checked out a few things there. I... don't know much on a history. You might want to talk to the woman Carmen about that. She talks about history sometimes.

Yeah. I think... I'm not sure, but Captain Unohana might be the one who has been here the longest. I think someone's said that.

That might be a good project, learning to fish!

Hmm. I need to do a full inventory of the items in this building before I go out anywhere though. Can I get back to you?

Carmen. All right. Someone else mentioned her too. Also is Captain Unohana the same as the Unohana who runs the clinic?

It might. I'd like to do that.

Of course! I'm not going anywhere. Just let me know when and I can move my household chores around with my team.

Oh, did they? Unohana-sama is. She's also a leader back in her world, so that's her rank.

Okay! This building is pretty large, and some of the tech is in need of bad repair before the entire area loses power, so I'm not sure when it'll happen but I promise, I'll get back to you!

Oh, I see! That's interesting. Is it a military?

Yes. There are a few Captains here from their world. They're all fighters, though she's a healer too. Well, I'm not sure that one of them is a fighter, actually. He's... He's a scientist, in a way.
