And as I drive tonight, the west coast sky is daring me to try. I feel alive tonight.

Updates should not be written at 12:09am when I really should be studying for Anatomy.

However, I am in the mood to write. I've been keeping my regular journal more these days. It's just more natural when I have many personal thoughts. Also, it's easier to get in the swing of writing manually now that I have to more often.

Every day that goes by I have a million things to do, see, accomplish, figure out. I have so many people going on, and so many meetings to attend.

I have work, class, over 30 hours of homework a week, friends, bills, the gym, volunteering, clubs, the GLBT center, and Marisa.

I have had a slew of health problems/ medication changes that have caused significant troubles in my classwork and anxiety management.

HOWEVER.
I am managing to excel in every last one of my classes, including the awful and dreaded anatomy.  I know I have one of the top 3 averages, although I am not sure what placement exactly.

I'm not studying enough, even though I am doing so well. I want to know every last bit of information thoroughly, especially for physiology next semester.

I've been thinking about my future, and contemplating my career. I have been struggling to decide if I want to be a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Anesthesiologist, or a Doctor. I've come to the conclusion that am going to graduate with my degree in nursing, and work as an RN for a year so I can get a better feel for where I want to be. Both of the graduate nursing degrees I am considering strongly recommend a year of experience anyway. If I decide to apply for Med School, I will go back and take the additional biology and physics requirements I need to apply to med school. It should not be hard at that point, because although all of the information in those classes is covered under the Nursing classes, they need my transcript to show the technical course names. And at that point I will still have the nursing background to allow me to better connect with patients.

That was a rant. Woops. Friends are excellent as well. I am connecting with so many new people and keeping my old friendships also. Erin and I are talking almost everyday, Kyle and I see each other every week and a half, and Andrew and I are figuring out our schedules so we can continue with our Chinese food/horror movie nights. Phil has been MIA but we are having a a facial night on Tuesday. And Tiffany and I have lunch frequently. AND I EVEN GET TO SEE SEAN! :)

Marisa is lovely. I'm nervous for when she goes to France but I am so so SO proud of her and her accomplishments. The Sorbonne is super hard to get into, (basically the Harvard of France.)

We spent a lot of time together this weekend what with going to the Post Secret event (where we got our books signed and got a picture with the creator of Post Secret, Frank Warren!) I got Erin a book, and had him sign it to her name :) It's her Xmas gift! Picture is

And last night we went to see Say Anything, Saves the Day, and Motion City Soundtrack. AMAZING show. Say Anything is incredible. Their lyrics are the epitome of descriptive. They have been one of my favorite bands for years, and I am thrilled to have seen them. I got a snazzy shirt and bag too!

I have some more doctor appointments coming up, and a Lab Practical on Friday (the equivalent of an exam.) I got an A- on the last one, so I am shooting for a regular A on this one :)

Things are really good, and I hope they are for the rest of the LJ world out there :)
