soooo, i dunno if you guys already knew, but the new streetlight cd leaked. i have it, and that makes me happy. im not versed on the methods of putting the album online, or i would provide the link. you can check skachilles, but all i have to say is goodluck, b/c that site is hell right now. it may be on the streetlight facebook group somewhere, or maybe ctska.
the sound quality is far superior to anything tommy has ever released, which is nice. the horn section pwns hard on this album. tomas' vocals are also far improved.
the cd is only 10 songs, which is kind of short. 45 minutes i think. the drums and bass are less exciting than past records (rip josh ansley) but the horns make up for it. and the guitar playing is much more interesting than in the past.
there are some really cool songs, just dont judge it too hard the first few listens b/c there were some songs i almost wrote off right away as crap and tehy are growing on me. there are some pretty hokey major key songs, though.
my favorite songs include: down, down, down to mephisto's cafe, forty days, and the receiving end of it all. honorable mentions to we will fall together and what a wicked gang are we. the rest is also good, just less good.
cannot wait to see these songs live.
