Sai, the 6.5-year-old laptop, has been displaying the blue screen every time I log on, so I'm operating it in safe mode and transferring the files to the external HDD. It might just be tired and demanding a retirement. In the meantime, I'm using CC, the netbook. Whose MS Word doesn't operate fully unless it's connected to the internet.
