Now every time I log into LJ, Chrome tells me the page's content may not be safe. I'm still trying to figure out if this is Chrome's fault or some ministry's.
It's been a dry writing spell for me. I am writing what I want - the problem is I haven't really gotten past the "but is that what others want to read?" stumbling block. One solution is to check out writing contests and sites that are open for submissions.
StS talk. Spoilers are a given.
. Omega ep 8: Now we can see the audience's faces! Mostly with only one expression.
The short-haired girl is even more suspicious because she appears fragile and helpless. Someone big and buff like Saga would've been too obvious.
Bah, the Yuna vs Ryuuhou duel is interrupted.
. Thanks to streaming sites, I was finally able to finish watching the Elysion-hen OVA. It is as disappointing as fandom says - too few frames, for one thing, and the storyboard is a direct copy-paste from the manga.* Overall it's a lazily produced anime, with none of the passion you feel in the Juunikyuu-hen OVA. If not for Mogitan yelling his way through each episode, I wouldn't have felt the urgency of rescuing Athena.
Dubious upside: Kazuya Yuuta's voice control improves.
Upside: Ootsuka Akio as Hades!
Let-down: Sorento omg why did they hire the original seiyuu?! He sounds way too old, like Julian's dad instead of his peer! A new seiyuu wouldn't have hurt at all!
*Madhouse did exactly that with their anime adaptation of Urasawa Naoki's Monster. But it worked because the story itself is already brilliant, and Urasawa's panels have a cinematic structure to them. This is def. not the case with StS.
