So. I've been sitting here for the better part of three hours kind of just...staring, at my computer monitor. I've been listening to some music (Thunderbirds Are Now!, right now), and occasionally I'll take a slice of a chocolate orange, and, you know, eat it.

Um, that's basically all I have to say. Which is why I've decided to take a nasty little ( Read more... )

Samurai Showdown's like a world trip with all expenses paid, Star Control is galactic fun but for a top place... hm... it's hard to top Mario Bros. Unless one goes into the Sims series. Urgh.

Although Diablo wins for sheer atmosphere because I like places that give one the option of a quick and unexpected exit, with infinite possibilities. So much for dying in bed. Heh.

"Star Control is galactic fun"

You're one of my favorite people in the world right now for even knowing what Star Control is.

That game made me want to be an astronaut when I was younger.

And Samurai Shodown, and basically any game by SNK is just fantastic, too.

Nothing like harvesting minerals while trying to avoid zaps by lightning or fire, interspersed with all the hostilities of good 'ol interplanetary interactions. The arilou were fun because everytime their ship appeared, I felt like doughnuts. Not to mention that one had to hone sniping skills, with their type of close-range firepower and speed. But on a safer and more practical note, the earthling and Kzer-Za ships were better for navigation and combat. So what do you want to be now?

I'm more a PC than console fan. Like Lost Vikings.

I always liked to mine the planets just above Illwrath territory early in the game. I think it was the Scorpii system. I can't quite recall at the moment. Using an Arilou ship to destroy an Ur-Quan Dreadnaught could be thrilling, if very rare. A lot tougher against the Kor-Ah, though. I never played the original PC version, I have it for 3D0. The voice acting and music are so amazing.

And, well, I do have it for PC, too. Do you know about this?

It's funny to think that Blizzard made The Lost Vikings.

What do I want to be now? Hm, it would take me a long time to explain. I'm already a dreamer, so we'll start with starving folk-hero, and then go from there.

I prefer SC-II to SC and can't really remember the names of the planetary systems, as it's been years. Well, experimenting with the Arilou against the Kor-Ah pretty much concluded that. Many of the ships weren't really worth acquiring (like the Thraddash Torch), but stuff like prodding the Orz about the Androsynth dispelled any moments of boredom.

Hm, no, the only sourceforge-related stuff I know has to do with BT. Ta for the link!

Probably devised in the moments whereby software techs had one too many vodkas and pot.

Well, we've got all the time in the world until one of us dies. So if you could spare your seconds at a point, I'd be up for listening.
