DRAFT DAY 2006!

It's ridiculous how overtly intuned to the NFL Draft I've become and it's even more ridiculous how nervous I am about it. Yes I want Vince Young to stay in Houston, but I realize Reggie Bush would be better suited since the Texans have this ridiculous notion that David Carr is still a good QB. I don't mind Reggie, but I would mind this idea that

ok now on the idea of drafting Mario Williams, i have to disagree with you. while i don't think its nearly as good of an idea as drafting reggie bush, its definitely not a terrible idea.

reason number 1 - reggie bush will get 15-20 touches a game. Mario Williams as a defensive end will play 60 downs a game and basically we will get 3-4 times the use out of him on an offense vs defense scale.

reason number 2 - part of reggie bush's success at so cal was due to the fact that he had a great supporting cast (leinart, lendale white, a HUGE o-line including winston justice, fred matua, duece latui and a few others).

reason number 3 - running backs have the shortest careers of all the positions in the NFL. they also tend to get traded out more than anyone else.

all that being said... bush is still way fuckin better and would be much more fun to watch once he gets goin

reason number 3: i completely agree with. it sucks because they're already thinking of trading reggie the minute he gets to houston. HOWEVER, he has been already talking with Texans owner in NYC (oh how i wish i could sneak into radio city to see the draft) and there's a good possibility that reggie would be more permanent.

reason 2: while he did have an amazing team at USC, i think his strengths are so overwhelming that he would shine anywhere. i think also, for david carr, he's exactly what the doc ordered.
