i have decided that putting any faith in politicians and parties is a folly. On both sides people are becoming zealots for one reason or another. people are turning an election into a holy war, which is ridiculous because neither hide is worth putting any faith in. in the past it seemed like the thing to do, be outspoken for your political agenda. i was wrong. it's pointless. we treat it like its a team sport or something. if you win what do you win? nothing. one side wants to be the moral compass of society and the world. thye want to americanize the world. its comparable to climbing a greased pole. they want to control everything. that we should be super-patiots, with a bible in one hand and an automatic weapon in the other. they other side wants the world to be free to do what ever the hell it wants, that we should be sensitive to everything and make allowances for those things. they give people the benefit of the doubt, which is immeasurably ignorant. they believe in tolerence, but only to things that they believe deserve it. for people to put such devotion towards one party or another is stupid. anyway people vote for their own personal agendas anyway. people don't vote for the good of the nation, they vote for the good of themselves. the parties are both split with special interests. both with opposing sides to the arguments. pro this or no that. so tommorrow vote your conscience, and then shut your mouth. talk about football, your memories, art, pro wrestling, koalas. just not your personal politics. and before i forget, shut the fuck up about the war and abortion, i don't like either of them, but that being said, who ever you vote for is not going to change either of them. war will always be around and neither candidate, regardless of what they say, will even touch abortion.so if your going to discuss something discuss education, unemployment, or anything other than those two things. happy voting.
