Todd Zeile: his royal f'n badness

Jul 31, 2004 13:49

matt parnell and i just got back from atlanta, where we met up with kyle and went to the curiosa festival and a braves game.

the curiosa festival: a brief review

the cooper temple clause - had never heard of them before this, but they were really good. the lead singer sounded kinda like liam gallagher.

mogwai- pretty good, all instrumental so i didn't pay all that much attention.

auf der maur- the bass player from hole and briefly the smashing pumpkins. was ok she just talked to much and was a bit strange. she also said who's it going "hot-atlanta."

the rapture- not too impressed, not bad, but not good enough for me to pay attention

muse- they were good, had awesome lights and effects

interpol- they were very good live. we left their performance early to see Thursday.

Thursday- incredible, i will agree with kyle by saying that geoff rickly has the best stage presence i've seen.

The Cure- the pinnacle of my lifetime concert going expierience.they played pretty much everything i wanted to here, including a great performance of love song, my favorite song ever. two great encores and i left happy.

post show:

hare krisna monk named keith rips off matt. for the record: matt and kyle have now supported a pagan religion.

World of Coke

we basically went to drink ungodly amounts of domestic and international sodas. we did. italy has the worst soda ever, it almost made me vomit, so i think they should be shunned by the international community.

braves vs. mets

good game. wanted to see smoltz, giles, franco, and zeile. but we didn't see todd zeile and that is why the mets suck. if they want to win the division they should do two things: 1. start todd zeile at third. and 2. sign john olerud to play first, helmet and all.

we stayed at kyle's brother who he hates house, we were their 2 days and we never saw him.

to be exact: atlanta rules.
