Blueberries are love. They just are. They're little blue bundles of heaven in healthy goodness and love. Just love.
Darkness is my zen. Actually when I was in Jr. High, I lost one of my oldest friends in a plane crash. He was one of those friends who I'd known since before memory. There are pictures of us playing bumper walkers when we were in diapers. He was awesome too, even in Jr. High... but he and his dad were killed flying out of the Grand Canyon in a commuter plane, and I was just overdramatic enough to decide to mourn him for a year. Since I was wearing all black anyway, I slowly was incorporated into the Goth-Kids collective, until I was assimilated. (omg... the Trek-ese... sooooo geeeeeky!!!) I gave it all up for hippiedom in my senior year, but that kind of thing sticks with you. Oh, and I still rain down terror on the masses on my whim so watch your step.
Hilarity is on my list to remind me that it's not all about the depths of my soul. And because I like funny.
Passion is a basic descriptor of my life. I've always been one of those crazy-eccentric, passionate freaks, who always has some pet project or ideal driving me to frenzy. Sometimes I'm passionate about nothing important, or about something really wrong, but I'm almost always ready to talk someone's ear off about something I'm sure at the time is the most important thing in the universe.
SCBWI is the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and I'm a member. It's a great resource for me as I try to finish up and send out my children's book for publishing. I've been involved in other societies and they were... eh, but this one is really, really great. If you're writing in that genre, I totally suggest a membership.
Vagueness ... erm... because... I'm not sayin'.
Zim... aka Invader Zim was pretty much the greatest cartoon ever made on this earth. If you want to know what it's all about, there are full episodes on YouTube, but for now, I'll leave you with this sample of greatness...
