Lilly is seventeen now. Soooo weird.
I spent the fourth of July weekend with Nick and his family. I sincerely hope I made a good impression. I got stung in the eyelid by a mosquito so I spent two-thirds of the weekend looking deformed. But it could have been so much worse. I mean, I could still see at least.
Nick also gave me my birthday present, bass tab white pages so I have a ton and a half of songs to learn now, if I would practice like a good little bassist. I need to spend less time on Sims 3 and more time actually being creatively productive.
I'm still hunting for a job. Nick's uncle works for the Forest Service and is going to see if he can find out about any jobs. In addition to that I'm going to go look and see if the Fossil center is hiring today. Well, I know they're hiring. The question is if they'll hire me. :/ But I do really need to find a job. And see about that scholarship I put my grades in for. :( If I got that I'll be basically okay for the year.
I'm also, ideally, going to start working on a fantasy story. I want to write a saga! Nick is going to compose music for every chapter if I do.
I completely miss my friends on the Sound and from school. I wish I could convince Beth and Sa (Because Ali is now moved and has a job elsewhere) to visit for a couple of days but Beth is always busy and has no way to get here. :(
It would be great to catch up with them though. Sarah still has my book of poetry too.
But while my communication with people from school and the Sound has been limited I have been able to spend some time with Melissa and Anna (and I talk to Nicole at the store every now and then). I'm proud of myself for getting out of my house and actually seeing them. I'm usually highly anti social when I'm in Republic, and at all other times.
It's finally sunny here, even if it is still colder than it usually is in July (sooo weird). And I think I ought to leave the nephews to Lilly and head off for the day. Oh job hunt, how you give me exercise.
