Not really, way to cliche.
But when I'm daydreaming about stories I usually don't end up with an actual picture of what's going on, usually I have to shove it to the front of my mind.
This picture I didn't have to.
So I wanted to free write about it before I forgot.
And I figured this was a good place to do it, because no one really reads me journal. With good reason. I looked back the other night, and I was awfully whiny.
But
to the reason I'm actually writing in here.
The Picture. (Which came while I was sitting up on the second floor of the Lovely Foley Library).
Very dark alley, guy is sitting on a couple of mostly broken crates. Baggy shorts, tennis shoes. Flannel shirt over t-shirt. Grunge look. Smoking something, probably pot. Girl, shoulder length brown hair, jeans, same flannel style shirt, but a different color. I think his is red, and hers is blue or green. Sketch place. They're about ten to fifteen feet down the alley, the road the alley is attached to has some two-three story houses, and is dimly lit.
They've been friends for awhile, don't know if it's since childhood or if it's only been a couple of years. The guy's name is Jeremy. The girl doesn't smoke. Foul language, type of counter culture?
This might just be a new light into the Bubblies world, but I'm not sure. It's definitely a dark world, or at least dimly lit.
So yeah, working and day dreaming of that world. I want to write it out but I want a clearer picture first, especially of their relationship. Probably write it in first person because I'm better at that.
I don't think it's Bubblies, I think it's something else. Similar but not the same. I think there's still a core society that Bubblies was missing, and I think what Jeremy is doing is illegal, mostly because the girl doesn't want anything to do with it.
Although I think that that is a drug, and it's still addictive. And building up a counter culture.
It's darker then Bubblies, I think. Quite a bit darker. Still a sci-fi world, but more cyberpunk than anything else. There may still be personalized robots, but people are much more involved than in the Bubblies world. Not everyone is addicted. But those that are are more dangerous than those who were addicted to Bubblies.
Maybe borderline Vurt world, with that sort of danger.
I had a dream a couple of years ago of women who were like vampires, super strong, but had paper thin skin, and were addicted to a drug. At the time I associated it with Bubblies, but this might be more right.
Maybe not. That feels like I'm pushing to much into it.
Definitely a drug, that isn't Bubblies. It might just be something as simple as pot in this picture.
Long term though?
Nick advised I look back in time, but all I can imagine back in time is just them young, innocent and playing on swings. And I don't know if that's the proper picture.
Future though, I can picture her sitting behind him as he gives a political speech, he's in a suit, so he's not To revolutionary, but the words he is saying are going against the system and the girl knows it. They might be married here, or are at least lovers. She is in a very light, maybe cream, skirt-suit thing.
Still, also might not be the right picture.
I think I should probably free write as Jeremy for a bit, considering I actually know his name, and see what comes out of it.
I have a hunch he's going to turn out to be a lot like Nick Panchot, because I've been talking to him a lot lately, or at least yesterday.
Or maybe not. Jeremy doesn't seem like the camping type... He kind of seems like a city kid. But that might just be because I see them in an alley.
God, I just don't know.
It's not reality, (setting) I know that. It's something close, but not that. Both Jeremy and the girl (Sam maybe?) are smart, but not like the intellectuals of the Bubblies world. More like average, probably B to A- students, but not the valedictorian, or even salutatorian.
They're the counter culture type, the ones that would float towards the grunge style of music and culture; but I still feel like Jeremy is a big dreamer, a bigger talker and into the political scene. But, if he's grunge as a teen why would he be wearing a suit later on? Does he sell out?
Maybe.
I want to know what the girl's name is. I think things might be better after that.
Although thinking about this makes coding IGO's Much easier, I think it'll have the opposite effect on working on my paper for English comp.
Hm.
I think I'll end this here, I just wanted to make sure I had something to come back to in case I forgot the picture.
