Right-o kids tis the halloween season and i am lovin it! I want to wish everyone a very happy and spooktacular halloween! The time when we freaks are free to roam the streets and not really be noticed--this is a good thing and should happen much more often.
I think i have lived through the absolute worst hangover of my entire god given life this weekend. Nick took me out with his co-workers on friday night....i feel ill reliving the whole thing even 2 days later. I am not sure if it was the quantity or just what i was drinking (WKD (iron brew and vodka) as a mixer for a shot of vodka--maybe one that threw me over the edge) but i threw up before passing out and then awoke to throw up all day saturday. I finally kept water, gravol, advil, and soup down by 10pm last night. Its sunday now and i still feel a bit on the shitty side. Ugh! wont be doing that anytime soon. I knew there was a reason why i loved being the designated driver for a reason....
So aside from that interesting and unforgettable drinking experience not too much has been going on for me here. I am starting to get more comfortable in the lab after making a good number of silly mistakes--including not putting the shaker together quite right and having one side blow out and hurl my samples around the lab--for which i am now the source of many good jokes.
I am learning that it really does rain here ALOT more than in Nova Scotia. The sun will usually emerge thru some thinner clouds around noon and then begins to disappear around 4pm. The average rainfall for november is something like 79mm and only goes up from there till march. I am suprised that people here havent evolved flippers and webbing. But thats why its the green isle. I was thinking the other day if the mossy side of the tree is north, then every direction here must be north! Since moss grows on every side and on every thing here. I thought it was a noteworthy thought at the time.
I hope to get out some more soon i am almost adjusted to the time difference and food changes now. I am just working on getting used to biking in such a narrowed street city. I did get to go to the zoo twice this past week and i think i even got paid to go as a demonstrator! woo hoo! What a gorgeous view of the city and the harbour! Not much of a zoo tho. And i am hoping to get up to Belfast Castle one of these weekends...I just have to convince nick that he wants to take me. I am still working on finding a digicam that i can "borrow" for a weekend so pictures will be available soon.
Well i feel like i have chatted on long enough. My gel should be done soon and i would like to be back outside while the grey is at its lightest for the day.
Happy and safe halloween to you all! Sam--i am so glad you enjoyed KMFDM I am super jealous! Now get my your address so i can send you your stuff!
