OK... so last night almost didn't happen, but I am definitely glad that it did. I began the night (thinking I was going to be staying in) by drinking the last of my vodka. Then the news that Leah & Charlie DID get a car came. Getting ready while slightly drunk is an adventure in itself. Then we drove to Blank Generation where we proceeded to drink really awful beer and watch a really inebriated band attempt to cover R.E.M.'s "Orange Crush". Even with the words right there in his hand, he couldn't quite get it. Eh, it's a hard song to sing to so I'll give them a break. Being drunk definitely helped with the humor of it. Then around 11 I started getting sick, so we left for the Mansion as that's where we all wanted to be at midnight. Now, I've been to many, many parties at this house, and I have to say that this New Year's Eve was the biggest one yet. I have never seen the house that packed. Usually I know at least 75 percent of the guests... this time I'd say I knew about 25 %. Crazy, crazy night. I got a hold of quite a bit of beer while there, but really didn't need it. Midnight came as soon as Rock City Symptom was done playing (I've never seen them, they definitely impressed me). Everyone got and gave smooches. It was nice. I think I totaled about 15. Not too bad I don't think. It was real nice seeing everyone and it seemed that everyone was pretty pleased to see me too. Looks like I'll be hanging out in LR more often now.
