There's just never enough time to do all the things I need to....forget about being able to do the stuff that I WANT to. :(
It's been way too long since I posted last. Ideally, I'd love to journal daily. Or hell, even when the mood strikes. I've been using Facebook as my pseudo-journal because I can post so quickly and easily on my phone, and adding photos is a snap. I have NO idea how to add photos to my livejournal, to make it look more like a blog and less like a diary. BUT, any time I get on the computer, Makenna has to be in my lap, and anybody who's had kids knows how difficult it is to type with a squirmy toddler in their lap who wants to push keys too. :(
Lately what's been taking up a lot of my free time is knitting. So far I've knit 6 scarves, 4 of them for the GHS band kids to wear while they're up in London over New Year's.
Another is black/gold striped, but it was too thin for what I thought the kids would need, so I plan to wear that myself for the cold weather football games and band competitions.
Hooray Team Scarf pattern The 6th is navy blue, and in my new favorite yarn, Hometown USA by Lion Brand.
Brisbane Scarf (you will have to create an account to view free patters on LionBrand.com)
The current scarf I'm working on is a lace knitting pattern. It's very challenging, and took me forever to have enough just to get this shot posted on FB.
I'm currently not even halfway through it, and it's full of errors, but it's got this great Patons Silk Bamboo blend yarn, and I'm bound & determined to finish this damn thing. I'm craving the super bulky yarn, it worked into scarves soooo much faster (because of the yarn and the simplicity of the pattern).
The pattern I'm doing this with is the
Feather Scarf pattern on Ravelry.
Guess I figured it out, huh? Thank you updated LiveJournal! xo
