(no subject)
Well now, I'm back at uni and what A busy sunday its been. After a nightmarish drive we thought that as we were passing IKEA we would pick up some shelves for my room as I haven't actually got any and my DVDs were just living in cardboard boxes. Now, I have never been to IKEA before, so I knew nothing of the 20 minutes queue to the car park, the horrible one way system inside and the nightmarish people that shop there on a sunday. I mean really, is there so little to do on a Sunday afternoon that a visit to IKEA becomes your only source of family entertainment. You cannot go ANYWHERE fast.
1hr 13 mins later I left with one £10 shelf unit and a £1.35 rug.

So, I then went home and had to put this evil IKEA torture device together, which was fine apart from half the instructions were missing. But I worked it out pretty quick.
IKEA seemed like a novelty before today.
Then, two seconds after finishing this monstrosity my flatmate asked me if I could hear miowing. Some of you may remember the guy next door who abandonded his dogs for a week before XMAS and we had to phone the RSPCA. well, he left a litter of kittens as well that we didn't know about. yesterday before I came home one of the kittens had jumped out the window and James (my flatmate) rescued it and kept it ovenight before his mum took it away and is prob gonna keep it. well the owner had come home and started abusing my flatmate phoebs' mum because she saw him and told him he should look after them. We then believe that he went in the house and threw the other kitten out the window. So me and Lee (flatmates boyfriend) ran out to the alleyway round the back and managed to convince the kitten to come through the fence. We then took it in the house and made a huge fuss over it and fed it and gave it lots of cuddles.
It was incredibly affectionate and curious for a cat that had been abandoned and starving for 4 weeks.
