I was walking down the street near uni and I got to the crossing, where there was a big sign saying 'LARGE PLANT CROSSING'
now in my mind I developed a little senario;
a big palm tree is waiting to cross the road, he looks one way, he looks the other, he looks one way, he looks the other. he decides its safe to cross.....
we see the point of view of a car driver, he is driving a jeep. He is trying to get some crisps out of the boxy thing under the air conditionong controls. He looks up but is not quick enough to see the palm tree...now called palmy.
Palmy raises his hands(leaves) to his eyes, he's caught in the headlamps of the jeep. It is raining slightly, that is why the jeep is using headlights in daylight. Screeching sound of brakes.
Cut to a high shot looking down on Palmy, lying mangled in the Jeeps bull bars, sap seeping from his body. The man gets out of his car and starts to bang on the car hood. 'Why?!' he screams, 'WHHHYYYYYYYY???????!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!'
Judge says....'should have seen the sign'
So of course while all this is happening in my mind I am still walking then I start laughing manically. I tried to explain it to my puzzled housemate who was with me at the time but she just dismissed me as weird. then some guys pulled over and asked for directions to the train station (I am still laughing and crying) I give them directions and then they drive in completely the opposite direction. Mind you, If I asked for directions from someone who kept crying, I'd probably drive in the opposite direction too.
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
