2. My husband is a rock star. Last week we bought a washing machine and dryer from Best Buy and since it wasn't in stock we scheduled it to be delivered yesterday. The salesteen told us that we would get a phone call on Monday telling us about when the delivery would take place, and it was guaranteed to be between 7 am and 7 pm. When Monday came and went with no phone call, I started to become concerned that I was going to be a prisoner in my own home, unable to leave until the delivery happened, and invited my mom to come hang out, see our townhouse, and protect me from deliveryrapists/deliverykidnappers. I also had this nice idea that we could go to the cafe for lunch. Lunchtime came and went, and finally at around 2:30 JQ called and said the deliveryman called him because he could not find our address on GPS (our complex is brand new- update your maps, Best Buy!) and would be there in about 15 minutes since JQ gave him directions. JQ arrived about 10 minutes before the deliveryman, on break from work that I didn't know he was taking. And thank goodness he did, because half of the things the salesteen said came with the set she was either supposed to give us in-store (the dryer cord) or tell us to buy separately (hoses and the vent connector thingy and clamps). Basically, I would have freaked out. But JQ did not.
After dinner we went to Lowe's to get the other stuff so we could actually DO SOME LAUNDRY, and as soon as we got home I was walloped by a migraine. I got so dizzy I dropped the glass I was holding and the Brita pitcher I was pouring, and retreated to bed and pillow-over-the-head while husband finished assembling laundry facility and did a load of towels.
3. Wedding recaps will continue just as soon as Breeze sends me rehearsal pictures.
4. If you need something to do with your time this summer, bookclub_cr is reading The Book Thief, and so far it's pretty interesting.
5. By the time the washer/dryer had been delivered, the cafe was closed, so I had to take my mom to the diner instead, because there are only 2 restaurants in town that serve American food and mama no gusta the Mexican cuisine.
