THE RULES:
1. I've chosen 20 female and 20 male celebrities I think are beautiful- click on their names in THE LIST to see pictures.
2. For each round, I'll make a poll and you'll have to vote for the two women and two men you find the least attractive (and later on just one of each). The four celebrities with the most votes each round will be eliminated. You don't have to have voted in previous rounds to vote in this one!
3. With each new poll I'll post the results with information (as in, "who is this person anyway?") about and pretty pictures of the people who were eliminated.
4. Cheering for, arguing about, and spamming the comments with pictures of your favorites are not only allowed but encouraged :)
In general, four celebrities will be eliminated in each round- two female and two male. However, three female celebrities were eliminated this round due to voting being tied TWICE.
THE ELIMINATED - ROUND ONE:
1. Jimmy Wayne
Yep, a pretty good portion of my male celebrities are country singers. It's summertime. I listen to country music pretty much every day in the summer. And it's a well-known fact that I am attracted to musicians.
Jimmy Wayne is a country singer from North Carolina who I first saw perform at Festival in the Park in 2009. He has a great voice, and is probably best known for his songs "Stay Gone" and "Do You Believe Me Now." He also has an inspiring story. Jimmy grew up in and out of foster care and ended up in juvenile detention for some small crimes he committed. After he was adopted by a caring couple, he ended up turning his life around, completing high school, and going to college to study criminal justice before moving to Nashville to become a singer/songwriter. In addition to the typical love and loss country songs, Jimmy Wayne also writes songs about his childhood and about the foster care system. I admire him for being so kind to his fans, for being so honest about what he's been through, and for the work he does to raise awareness of charities that work with homeless families and foster kids. He has a project called Meet Me Halfway- in which he has hiked a total of 1,378 miles so far on his way from Nashville to Phoenix- to raise awareness particularly about the issues kids aging out of foster care face. More information about this project can be found
here.
Also, his cover of "Sara Smile" makes me melt (I have been known to listen to it on repeat when I am having a rough day), and the red hair doesn't hurt- I loves me some redheads.

2. Harrison Ford
SERIOUSLY, YOU GUYS? Harrison Ford is my favorite actor of all time, probably best known for playing Indiana Jones, Han Solo in the Star Wars movies, and Jack Ryan in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger. I love that slightly crooked, mischievous smile of his. He also seems like a genuinely humble, down-to-earth guy, and he is a real-life hero who has rescued lost hikers in his airplane while working with the Teton County Search and Rescue organization. I know he's getting older (he's my parents' age, actually), but I think I will always find him handsome, talented, and just plain amazing.
3. Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz is an American actress who began her career as a model and who is well-known for her roles in comedies such as There's Something About Mary as well as the Charlie's Angels movies. I think Cameron is beautiful because she always seems to get so much joy out of life. It's obvious to me when I watch a movie with her in it that she loves her job and isn't afraid to be a goofball. My favorite movie starring Cameron is The Holiday.
4. Anna Paquin
Canadian actress Anna Paquin is probably best known for playing Sookie Stackhouse in "True Blood." But you know what, guys? I don't watch "True Blood" at all, because I don't have HBO. But I love Anna - mostly because she played the most intriguing female superhero, Rogue, in the X-Men movies, but I have loved her since Almost Famous!
5. Gillian Jacobs
Gillian Jacobs is an American actress and Julliard graduate who is becoming well known for playing Britta Perry on the television show "Community."
