Grammy Awards 2010 Liveblog - Part 2

Miley introduces the Black Eyed Peas, who sing "I'm'a Be" and "I Gotta Feeling." Fergie's curse words are bleeped and she has on a visor. Will has on a Death Eatery mask and a bullet strap a la Rambo. The other two Peas are... there. Their dancers have on red upholstered versions of the cone your dog had to wear when it got fixed, or else look like your stereo became a Transformer. I did get the feeling that this performance would have been a LOT of fun to see live. Or high on acid.

The Jonas brothers come out to introduce Lady A looking very dapper, and Joe (at least, my mom says the one in the middle is called Joe) seems to have stolen Simon Baker's glasses.
Lady A sings "I Need You Now," which I am sick of becuase it plays every fifteen minutes on either CMT or GAC and it is essentially a pretty sounding song about a drunk dial.

My mom, during the Target Commercial: That one is Nick.

Aww, Kaley Cuoco. Best Comedy Album: Stephen Colbert.
His daughter, who's wearing NAVY BLUE, agrees that he's cool now.

RINGO and Norah Jones (I hope my kid who didn't know who Ringo is watches this show). Bobby Darin receives a Lifetime Acheivement Award.

Record of the Year: Kings of Leon, "Use Somebody."
I did not expect them to win against Lady GaGa and Taylor Swift, but Rolling Stone got it right.

RDJ makes an appearance, in a velvet jacket with some sweet striped lapels and Simon Baker's glasses. "Blame It," redic opera style. Love Jamie Foxx dressed like Washington crossing the friggin Delaware. There is a lot happening on that stage. Jay-Z, in the audience, looks like a kid in a candy store. And a shot of George Clinton, rocking out even though he's like 113 years old. T-Pain is dressed like your boyfriend wished he had dressed at prom, in white tails and a black vest. I wish he'd bust out some "I'm On a Boat." SLASH!!!

Katy Perry and Alice Cooper. "She'll keep time with anybody." - my mom

Best Rock Album: Green Day, 21st Century Breakdown
I was all for either Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King or No Line on the Horizon.

Zac Brown Band performs with Leon Russell. So happy for these boys that they are getting to live their dream.

Taylor Swift performs looking unusually toned down... I don't think I've ever seen her in pants. I would totally wear a tunic, too, though, if I was going to duet on "Rihannon" with Stevie Nicks. I am sure that this guy on the guitar is soemone famous but neither my mom or I knows who he is- anyone. Then a cute boy on a banjo (or is that a guit-jo? I can never tell)- appears and Stevie and Taylor duet on "You Belong With Me" (Stevie, of course, whips out a tambourine with a scarf attached). I may actually download this one later.

Come on, people, do you have your 3-D glasses ready???

i love music and music loves me, entertainment: music
