I was hit by a car! And only 6 weeks after breaking my hand.
I was on the moped and a girl didn't see me and made a left turn. Into my thigh. I'm not entirely sure what happened then, but the moped hit a telephone pole and I landed somewhere in the gutter.
I'm pretty much OK - various bruises and abrasions and my entire left thigh/hip is going to be some VERY interesting colors soon. Walking hurts. My elbow has some fucked up bruises/blood blisterish things. Now I can't lean on my left elbow or tuck my right leg under my (now car-smooshed) left thigh--you know, the only position I sit in besides straight-up lotus.
The moped was cushioned from side damage by my supple lady thighs, but the telephone pole smashed up the front. SORRY NICK
I feel really bad for the chick. Her cousin was just killed on his motorcycle, so hitting me is kind of a huge mind fuck for her. Oh and her pastor is all over the news because he was shot during his service this morning.
The one casualty was my customizable coffee mug, currently decorated w/a sexy librarian and the phrase "she blinded me with library science!" I'd just changed it, too... This is probably what I am the most distressed about, that and having to take my car and pay for parking. Oh and getting the scooter fixed.
