Lions and tigers and panda bears, oh my!
We took Nathan to the zoo again today, with much more success than last time. We had planned to take him last week with a friend and her son, but Nathan woke up with a bellyache and started throwing up. :( So, we packed a picnic lunch and headed off. In light of what happened last time, and that there is a considerable amount of walking (no matter how long his legs are), we also brought his stroller. This was, sadly, probably the last time out with the stroller as he is getting MUCH too big to fit in it comfortably. It's a nice little zoo, and we had a great time. Paul and I were really intrigued by the Sand Cats, and of course, I've always been fond of the Lions. Nathan's favorites were the Golden Lion Tamarins and the Clownfish. I'm glad that my parents got us the membership, and I'm sure we'll go back many times over the next year. I'm even thinking about having Nathan's birthday party there - they have a special "party room" and the zoo is open all winter. It might make for a fun little get-together with his friends from school.
