I hope you all had a happy easter! I spent a lot of time knitting: a shawl for mom, arm warmers for dad, and I also started a shawl for myself. All the stores are closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday during Easter, so I did some serious yarn shopping on Thursday. I also played a lot with my brand new tablet and smartphone. I bought them as a package deal, and now I also have a router that seems to support Livejournal better than my earlier thingies...
It's been a busy couple of weeks, with an exam, lots of meetings and all sorts of funny classes. Seriously funny, we have a course of methodology going on, and we got to play the drums and sing, and dance, and do some improvisation. You should have seen me trying to do an impression of a shark:). I had the role of the devil sitting on someone's shoulder a couple of weeks ago, and now the shark. Since I'm not naturally aggressive, it was something of a challenge to find my predatory side, but I managed it.It does make sense to experience these things yourself before attempting to direct them for others, and we really are learning a lot.
The one thing I really have issues with in my studies is that almost everything we do is a group effort, including many of the essays. It takes much more time to set up meetings, stay on the subject during them, choosing what to include, reading, reviewing and rewriting everything and finally finishing off by a presentation before the class than it would take to simply write the whole essay alone. Of course it would also mean much more work for the teachers, who are overworked as it is, so we really have no choice. Our group skills are going to be phenomenal by the time we get our degrees...
It's been a stressful spring with an insane amount of work, and I can't wait for the summer holidays. But I know the worst part is over, and I only need to manage for about one more month. I know I can, I know I can...
