Life goes on...

I suddenly realized it's been five days without an update again. I really need to try more... It's not even that I'm particularly busy, or that I can't use the internet here, because I'm not, and I can. I've just required a nasty habit of neglecting my blogging, but I truly will try to update more often starting today. Stick with me, it will get better...
I think my pinky toe is broken, I managed to get it between a door and the treshold, and it's been hurting a bit ever since. I'm going to have to buy a pair of extra comfy shoes now, because I need shoes anyway, and because the summery shoes I have now make my toe hurt like it's being cut off, when I try walking with them,
In other health news, I'm feeling loads better. I got antibiotics, and an asthma medicine to inhale, and after lots of rest, and lots of tea, I'm feeling almost like myself again, despite the seductive low voice you tend to get by coughing for a week... So I'm thinking I'm finally going to get my stuff out of the garage and into more permanent storage.
I've been reading, too. I'm reading Gone with the Wind again, as I mentioned before, and it is a great book, in the sense that it pulls you in and paints a very convincing picture of the Old South, in all its beauty and cruelty. And I've finally got started with The Mating Season, another Jeeves and Wooster story, and one I haven't read before. I really ought to read and write more, and pin and watch YouTube less. I'll never feel settled down here before my stuff is properly stored, so I need to see to that first, and then maybe I'll get back on track with everything else.
I went to see the friend of mine, who helped me move, and we had a great time, talking, eating and watching The Lion King, which I brought with me. It's a fine movie, but am I the only one who feels, that the comic relief and the drama are not really akin to each other? With so much sadness, cruelty and overall tragedy, it's necessary to have some fun thrown in, but the dance numbers seem somehow ill-considered in the general atmosphere... Oh well, it's not meant to make sense all the way through, I guess.
Another pair of socks got finished, too, while we watched and chatted, so now it's back to knitting my lovely shawl, and it's getting close to Christmas knitting season, as well... Do you make any presents for Christmas or maybe birthdays yourselves? I've been making some of my presents ever since I learned to knit, and they've been well received, as a rule. It makes it easier for me, in a way, not having to think of so many things to buy. I really don't like Christmas shopping, mostly because of the loud Christmas music they've already started playing. Someone needs to compose some hits for Halloween, so we can at least have them first, and not start with Jingle Bells in October...
Have a great week, and see you soon!
