Writer's Block and Fun Video
I know I've been AWOL for practically forevrer. Let's just say 2009 and I have not been such good friend so far. But we're warming up to each other, I hope. As of now, everybody in the house is healthy and sleeping through the night fairly regularly again. Those two things alone do wonders for my sanity and happiness.
I have every intention of posting a proper update sometime soon, but here's the CliffsNotes version of what's been up with me lately:
1. My parents came out for a two-week visit and just left Sunday morning.
2. I got to go sing in Carnegie Hall on Feb. 7th with the Chorus and the Orchestra. It was amazing and we got fantastic reviews from the NYC press.
3. I traded in my lease and got a new-to-me car. I finally caved and moved up to a crossover (2006 Buick Rendevous). I'm bummed about dropping in fuel efficiency, but the extra space is wonderful and the fact that I don't have to bend over to put Mia in her car seat is doing wonders for my back.
4. I haven't forgotten about my Whofic WIP. All the craziness of life lately has resulted in total writer's block for me. It sucks. I miss writing. I'm working on busting through it. If anybody wants to prompt me or inspire me, I welcome the assistance!
Completely unrelated, I was going through my old emails earlier today and came across this Doctor Who Fanvid that I was sent forever ago. I absolutely love it and am embedding it here (a) so I can easily find it again in the future ad (b) to share the brilliance of it with any of you who may be interested.
