Puttering about

So, Obama's the nominee now, though not officially until August.  It's a pretty amazing thing.  I've long said that we'd have a woman or black nominee for president in my lifetime, but I'll admit that I didn't think it would happen when I was only in my thirties.  The poli-sci junkie in me is really looking forward to this year's campaign.  Though, I live in Ohio, so I'm sure within two weeks of the flood of leaflets and telelvision ads I'll be ready for the whole thing to be over.

I never actually posted my thoughts and reflections on the Lost season finale.  That would be because I was so impressed and confused and frustrated that I wasn't sure where to start.  I will say I was delighted with the Desmond/Penny reunion, Sawyer still = love, I still don't trust Charlotte further than I can throw her, Ben still kicks ass, I'm starting to pity Locke, and Future!Jack annoys the hell out of me.  Oh, and Al and I went through almost the entire cast trying to figure out who the other person is that Sun blames for Jin's death.  We went through Kate, Jack, Frank, Sayid, Widmore, and Ben.  Al settled on Ben and I just gave up because I never predict anything correctly anyway.

In family news, Mia has decided that she now absolutely hates having her diaper and her clothes changed. She literally gave me a fat lip last night with her flailing fists when I was changing her into her pajamas.  She wants to dress herself, except that her idea of putting on a shirt is to wrap it around her neck and pull.  The kid's gonna strangle herself.  *shakes head*  She has definitely entered the "do it myself" stage of toddler-hood.  In fact, "do self!" has become one of the things she says most often nowadays.

I think I might have gotten myself hooked on Wii Sports Tennis last night.  It's way fun.  Al wants the WiiFit for Father's Day.  I just might have to get it for him so I can play with it too.  :)

I'm in love with my new icon.  My two favorite shows in one icon - does it get better than that?  (I'm easily pleased - you all should know that by now.)

Alright, that's enough randomness for me.
