Oh, the irony

So, being a Clevelander, I suppose I'm somehow obligated to make a post about the farce that was "The Decision" last night. I suppose I'm expected to say what a circus it was, and how bitter and angry I am that LeBron is leaving his hometown team who has adored him for the "better chance at championships" that lies in South Beach. But the truth of the matter is, and pardon my language, I could give two shits about it at this point.

No one person deserve the media circus that surrounded "The Decision". And the insincerity and detachment with which he came off last night has only served to damage his reputation everywhere in this country, save perhaps South Beach.

And the fact that the owner of the Cavaliers had to find out his decision at the same time as the rest of the world, that LeBron didn't even have the maturity and decency to phone him first, is downright shameful.

So, instead of saying all those things, I shall instead tell you an amusing little anecdote:

As I was taking my shower this morning, I heard insistent and angry screaming from Mia's room. "What on earth is going on?" I wondered to myself. Then my husband came into the bathroom, smiling ruefully, shaking his head, and holding something behind his back. "You will never guess what she picked out to wear today, out of all the clothes she owns." And he pulls from behind his back Mia's LeBron James/Cleveland Cavaliers t-shirt.

Oh, the irony.
