"You can sew it up but you still see the tear..."

I really shouldn't be updating this right now. I'm awful. But it's prolly one of the few things that keeps me a lil sane throughout the day.

School is getting better each day. I shouldn't speak too soon though, I haven't had my crazy classes yet today. My goal last night was to stay at school til 7 pm and get tons done. So...I left at 6. But I got a shit ton of grading done while watching Forrest Gump last night. So basically, I rock.

My birthday is in one week. I feel old. I felt it yesterday when I opened my Purdue alumni mail. I'm an alumni. And I'm only 21. I'm an 8th grade teacher. And I'm only 21. Damn.

I'm starting to miss people a lot right now. A lot of Purdue folks have been calling and reminding me of various good times that have been had. I miss Jer a lot. He's a pain in the ass, but he's a funny lil brother. Who else would jam with me to Something Corporate and recite Jay-z lyrics with me on the phone? I can't believe he has 3 years left of college. Craziness.

I miss Stef a lot too. I owe her for prolly half of the words in my vocabulary. I miss Nathaniel (her bf)and that whole apartment of boys who would make fun of me for stumbling into their apartment at noon on a Wednesday witht he same clothes I had on the day before.

But most of all, I miss writing. I got so tired of it at times and I would procrastinate like it was my job, but god I miss it. I think I may work on some kind of research in the classroom. I conducted a research project for one of my classes on attendance rates and I may do something similar to that now and who knows, maybe it will be published in some random education journal that will sit on a dusty shelf on the 11th floor of a library where the only time it will be moved is when two college students accidentally knock it off the shelf during a make-out session. Maybe. I don't know if there will be time for that, I don't know. :P

This weekend was awesome. I was within inches of the original lyrics to "In My Life" at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I rode the fastest and tallest roller coaster in the world. Sweet action.

Anywho, that's all for now.
