I THOUGHT I WAS FREE, I REALLY DID. XP

I used to love Grey's for Bailey and Christina and Callie and the Burke/Christina even if the actor who played Burke was a jackass, for the epic Meredith/Christina friendship that takes priority over any of their relationships with men, and in which the only thing they've ever competed for was surgeries.

Then the show kind of got cracky in season 4 and lost my interest, but it has roped me in again, oh yes. I mean, Callie was awesome anyway, but her relationship with Arizona is so well-done and adorable, as is the rift it's caused with her family and how torn she is because she knows her parents are dead wrong about this but it doesn't stop her from loving them, and I like the unflinching look at PTSD with the Owen/Christina plotline and how they didn't just magically cure him just because he fell in love. I also have even grown to like Meredith more, now that she is stronger and less dependent on Derek to save her from every single emotional scar. And then Derek's recent plotline stopped him from being so preternaturally shiny and perfect, AND it let her save HIM for once.

IDK I'm rambling but someone has clearly injected the show with awesome again. XD

I know, I was quite surprised to discover that it'd got interesting again. It was made of fail for a good season or so and then suddenly the writers got their mojo back. I've actually CRIED during some of the episodes (when that little girl died in the last one? OMG) - and I hadn't even done that during the early days! I'm kind of glad they're starting to get it right again. It's nice to see a good show pull itself out of the gutter. I hope it doesn't crash and burn again any time soon.
