I was suckered into...er...I mean...honored with the opportunity of...taking one of the stations in this year's Vision Quest. This year the stations are reflecting the cards of the trump suite of the Tarot deck. And of course I haven't picked up a Tarot deck in years except to play Tarocchi, so I'm sort of flailing in the dark.
I'm supposed to enact 'Judgement'. I'd thought it might be fun to be playing with a balance scale when each person approached. But there's another card called 'Justice' (which will be enacted by Russ of Vulcan's Forge) that actually has a balance in the illustration. So for me to use it could be confusing.
Sam emailed me this morning to say it might be okay if Russ doesn't use a balance in his own enactment. So I may talk to Russ. But it still seems that I could confuse people if I were to use one. All I know for sure is that I'm not tootin' on a trumpet.
Sounds Kewl. If I Were You, I'd Go For The White Hair British Judge On A Bench With A Gavel Look. This Has The Added Benefit Of You Sitting Down The Entire Time. (Remember The 'Oh Ee Oh Ah Ah's Of Last Time You Stood For A Vision Quest.)
Once again, however, we have a concept that just might conflict with 'Justice'.
As for the sitting down thing...sitting down was part of the deal. I get to sit throughout the VQ, and a truck will take me to and from the site (I had to walk last time, a tricky thing when you're in the middle of the woods and on the verge of passing out).
I really liked the balance scales concept. I guess I'll have to read again the common perceptions of the meaning of the 'Judgement' card. Maybe something will inspire me.

Why do I agree to these things?
