I am opting not to go to Leisure World today. My Grandfather used to live there before he passed away. I don't like going there. The Military group that I associate myself will be there. 5 of the Gold Star Moms (moms who lost thier kids in battle) will recount what happened to thier boys. They are also going to play taps and have a symbolic coffin with a flag over it. Like I said in a post earlier this month I knew I would have a hard day with Todd not home yet and attempting to set aside some time to day to pay my respects to those who have given thier life for their country. I have opted to do what Todd and I did last year, spend the day in DP. At 3pm on the Headlands they are having a nice ceremony where the placard will stand at the new DP Memorial Park. At 4pm my parents' neighbors are doing happy hour on the green. It is nice, they know Todd and have donated cooling vests for his platoon. Then I am having dinner with at Mom and Dad's house. It should be a nice day.
