01. what did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
-had my gallbladder surgically removed
02. did you keep your new years' resolutions, & will you make more for next year?
-i didn't make any last year... but this year, my one and only resolution will be to get healthy. This includes not only losing weight and eating properly, but figuring out what horrendous stomach disease is kicking my butt repeatedly.
03. did anyone close to you give birth?
-a friend of mine is preggo - but she's not due till January.
04. did anyone close to you die?
-thankfully no.
05. what countries did you visit?
-i don't think i left Canada, but I went to Québec, PEI, and New Brunswick, and Lakefield, ON.
06. what would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
-to go on our trip that we had to miss because of my illness last year.
-better health
-better job
07. what date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, & why?
-June 21, 2010 - my surgery date
-September 11, 2010 - my friends' wedding date
-October 14, 2010 - Tim and my 5th anniversary
08. what was your biggest achievement of the year?
-just getting through the year i think. It's been a rough one.
-getting debt free
09. what was your biggest failure?
-not doing enough of the things i love
10. did you suffer illness or injury?
-yes, still am.
11. what was the best thing you bought?
-i don't recall
12. whose behaviour merited celebration?
-not sure how to answer this question
13. whose behavior made you appalled & depressed?
-my own
14. where did most of your money go?
-bills, debt repayment, mortgage, groceries, cat expenses, gifts, travel
15. what did you get really, really, really excited about?
-lots of things... seeing my niece in a big role in her play, having my surgery so I would feel better (or so I thought), repaying my debt so I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore, starting a new job (turned out to be a let down like the rest...LOL)...
16. what song will always remind you of 2010?
-probably that stupid black eyed peas song about how tonight's gonna be a good night.
17. compared to this time last year, are you:
a. happier or sadder? about the same
b. thinner or fatter? about 35 lbs thinner, not that anyone can tell!
c. richer or poorer? well, in theory I'm richer, but I feel poorer because I'm not buying anything i can't afford.
18. what do you wish you'd done more of?
-more art projects
-exercise
19. what do you wish you'd done less of?
-being ill
-having to take time off work
-watching tv
20. how will you be spending christmas?
-with family
21. who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
-i don't talk on the phone much, it makes me anxious. So, my mom I guess.

-no, but i didn't fall out of love... been in love for 5 years!

-none!

-Dexter, True Blood, 30 Rock
25. do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
-hate is a strong word. I greatly dislike people, yes... but only because i didn't know them until this year. LOL.

-i really liked "the stone gods" by Jeanette Winterson

-Amanda Palmer (& Evelyn Evelyn)

-lots of things, i'm very fortunate

-lots of things, but they were mostly frivolous, so i'm cool with it
-a diagnosis for my stomach woes

-Inception

-i think i went out to dinner with Tim... and i turned 29

-less illness, more challenging job (sorry that is 2)
