the scent of spring...
...is in the air, do you know what that scent is?! CLEAN!!!!!! Spent practically all weekend cleaning, MAN was this house disgusting in the cracks/crevices... but now it sparkles and shines and smells of random cleaning products. Just a couple more things to do and it will be officially cleaned... now it will be much easier to maintain the cleanliness. I also organized things in the kitchen - it's far less cluttered and much more functional.
Tim cleaned out the laundry room - damn was it gross. Now it too is a wonderful domain of clean. Earlier in the week Brian had vacuumed the basement, since it was left a mess with straw and saw dust and all kinds of crap all over it - and the vacuum so jammed and clogged that it wasn't working. [THANKS! I appreciate that!] Once Tim and Brian unjammed the vacuum it was smooth sailing. This house looks gigantic now.
I'm loving the metaphorical and literal cleanliness of this house now... no dirt, no dust, no crap, no junk, no drama, no bullshit, no one trying to steal random cleaning supplies from me ;). It's damn near close to heaven.
Brian made wicked-awesome Sheppard's Pie last night and Timmy made some cupcakes. Then we watched King Kong - unfortunately I conked out early... but what I saw of it was pretty good! I think I was just tired from cleaning all day... maybe the fumes from the cleaning supplies made me drowsy... who knows?
Anyway, had a great weekend, spending time with good friends and just chilling out. I am excited to live in a much smaller house though - less cleaning! Hahahaha.
Now.. on to the family portion of the weekend... and maybe some more SNES emulator playing.
