"This is so not fair," Johnny mutters to himself over the stove.
Getting used to the wannabe Savage Land slash project paradise is taking some time, but then again, Johnny hasn't even been around more than a couple of days. He's been doing his best to make do with what he's got until Reed picks him up, and it doesn't hurt that almost every single woman walking around is drop dead gorgeous.
It's like he's found a long lost commune where supermodels go to retire and look gorgeous forever even without makeup. And yeah, so there are a bunch of guys around too, but that's never stopped Johnny.
For once, Johnny's mind isn't on women. He's already had breakfast, so it isn't on his stomach, either. What he's doing is something he doesn't even want to admit to, because it's stupid.
He's sort of hypnotized by the stove.
Johnny's gone without his power more than a few times -- once he even traded it with Sue's -- but that never makes it any better. The flames are as much a part of him now the same way his hair color is, and not having that anymore sucks. It more than sucks.
Holding a hand over one of the stove top flames makes Johnny feel a little better. He may look a little weird to anyone who walks in, but it's not as if there haven't been times where his entire body bursting into flame hasn't freaked people out.
