...History

Peter Paul Winston Wisdom was born and raised in London, England. His upbringing was more than comfortable, leading him and his sister Romany to exhibiting a spoilt and 'holier than thou' attitude. When his mutation appeared at the age of 14, Wisdom's smug sense of entitlement grew. His parents sent him away to a very small, very prestigious Swiss boarding school that specialized in training mutants while remaining quiet enough that no one need know their son (nor daughter, for that matter) were out of the ordinary.

As time passed and he gained control of his mutation, Wisdom also learned that he had a knack for being charming, and a knack for being sneaky. School was fairly easy for him, and he enjoyed the time and space away from his family; so much so that he didn't return to London immediately after graduation. At the age of nineteen, Wisdom did head back to the UK, recruited to join Black Air.

Black Air was a covert, secretive Intelligence department, was mandated with the investigation into and research of supernatural and paranormal phenomena. Here, Wisdom began to use his mutation both offensively and defensively. As time went on, he moved up the ranks, loving his job. More than once, he was tasked with capturing or killing mutants, but it was the job. He wasn't going to question it beyond that.

As the jobs grew more and more menial to Wisdom, he started taking less and less on. What he was doing was fairly heinous (including extortion and murder) but he always put it off to the job.

When Wisdom was thirty four, he began moonlighting with Weapon X. His first freelance mission was paired with a twenty two year old Katherine Pryde. He found himself smitten with "Kitten" as he'd dubbed her, and the two started a long distance relationship. To Wisdom, she was his girlfriend in name only, as his ability to keep it in his pants was limited to when Kat was within a 100 mile radius of him. Slowly, he did fall in love with Kat, her snarky attitude and the fact she obviously cared about him seeping in..

It was when that happened, and Black Air saw the change in his behavior that they began to question his relationship with her. When told to choose between an agent of a foreign intelligence agency or Black Air, Wisdom chose silently. He approached Stryker about a job.

Black Air is none too pleased.

...Personality

Wisdom has a narcissistic streak a mile wide and deep. He honestly believes himself to be amazing. He's incredibly flirtatious with nearly anything female, and has a tendency to cheat on Kat when she's not in his direct vicinity. While, yes, he actually is that vain, some of it is a front to hide insecurity.

He follows orders to the letter, even if he doesn't like the mission. The fact that they are 'orders' negate his need for a conscience in whatever he is doing. He doesn't like to reflect on what he's done with Black Air, and will swiftly change the subject.

At his heart, Wisdom is very capable of love. He loves his family and is very protective of his younger sister Romany, and even if he hasn't admitted it to either himself or her, he does love Kat. He just has a fucked up way of showing it.

...Abilities

    Powers
Hot Knives: can absorb ambient heat and solar radiation, and release the absorbed energy from his fingertips as semi-solid energy projections called 'hot knives'. His Hot Knives are pure thermal energy, said to be as "hot as the surface of the sun". Pete can also use them to form shields to burn incoming missiles or to generate thermals beneath him as he falls to slow his descent. He can use these blade-shaped darts of pure heat as projectiles or occasionally as slashing weapons. Wisdom has excellent control of his knives, able to cause severe damage or just to stun.

    Skills
Skilled in espionage, intelligence-gathering and firearms.

Third Person
Wisdom arrived under the cover of night, the Jeep carrying him the hours from St. Petersburg in silence. It wasn't that he was expecting a lavish display, since he needn't be wooed by Stryker to come to Siberia and bore himself stupid. He'd chosen to go there.

What the fuck, he'd chosen miserable cold and a girl he'd barely spent more than three months with at any given point over a span of two years instead of cushy personal jets and hotels with jacuzzi's in-suite? He was kicking his own ass for that.

He stepped out into the icebox air and slung his bag over his shoulder. The uniform felt like someone had stripped his skin and given him steel wool to wear, but he wasn't going to bitch. He'd chosen this.

First Person:
    Lipton.

    Marlboros.

    [shakes head]

    Fuck you all.
