Happened to look up Tatsu's new anime starting in January, so I thought I'd post them here for those who haven't heard yet.
『おまもりひまり』 [Omamori Himari]
Character: 柾木 泰三(Masaki Taizou)
Official site 『バカとテストと召喚獣』 [Baka to Tesuto to Shoukanjuu]
Character: 坂本雄二 (Sakamoto Yuuji)
Official site Side note:
speaking of Tatsu anime, please tell me I'm not the only one who watched [Sora no Otoshimono]. It was totally a guilty pleasure, but how could I not watch a show that obsessed with panties and Tatsu voicing one of the major characters? In the end it, I rather liked it and I recommend it. Just set your expectations really, really, really low. (^_^;)
Now about the DIARY translations, I finally got around to revising
the last entry.
I assure you that the basic content has not changed, but there are a number of places where I changed the feel to get closer to Tatsu's (and some places where I corrected my English).
Right now, as I'm sure many of you know, my system is to
- Post notice that he has updated (since Tatsu's blog doesn't have an official RSS feed) along with a summary of the entry.
- Post a rough draft translation as soon as I have something somewhat decent.
- Revise as necessary, noting what changes have been made.
- Erase the translation (but not the post itself) when Tatsu deletes the entry from his site.
I have confidence in my Japanese and, as a regular listener of Tatsu's radio shows, I'm relatively confident in assuming what he means when he's being vague. Unfortunately, I have much less reason to be confident in my English writing skills.
I want you guys to read Tatsu's words as soon as possible, so there are times when I get a very rough draft up and then revise it heavily at a slower pace. But you guys deserve good translations and sometimes I feel bad about tossing up rough drafts the way I do. I am planning on noting on entries if a lot changes have been made to the previous one. I won't write an extra post saying I've revised since I don't want to spam your friends-lists.
Any comments, questions, words of encouragement (^_^)v are greatly appreciated.
PS Once I get a presentable translation, I post it on a separate blog
dedicated to DIARY translations.
I haven't mentioned it here because this separate blog has disabled comments, no notes, basically nothing but the translation. Plus I post the translations after I post them here. In the end, it is a by-product of what I do on this comm and you're definitely getting a fuller experience here on
heated_heart.
But if you know any Tatsu fans who are not part of the LJ community and might be interested, please pass the link along and spread the Tatsu love. (^_^)
