It was a conspiracy, an act of subterfuge.
Operation: Joy.
Lead by example, he’d learned from his father.
Smile often, balance work with life, be casual, affectionate, warm. Reward efforts, entice effort from those who slacked.
More bees with honey, they say.
He would take the hearts, not by storm, but through quiet but insistent influence, spreading cheer and good will, a small smile could cause a wave of smiles to grow from the small ripple that it caused.
He hoped to be the butterfly that brought about a tsunami of joy.
