[The Captain has been stocking trinkets boxes and wrapping paper. After talking with some of the town he comes to the conclusion that the town wouldn't let them do this gift giving on Christmas anyways.

Also, to prove miltianbunny wrong, he got himself a poorly fitting Santa costume

[Guess who's being a huge creeper and stalking you all over town while you're delivering gifts? This squid. She's doing her best to hide behind bushes and things until she's pretty sure he isn't looking, and then darting to the next thing to hide behind. But there's a chance he may notice her.]

[He's lugging the bag. Far too drunk and distracted to notice he has a Christmas stalker.]

"☠☠☠☠, why does Santa work in the cold?"

[She'll get to see him leave gifts. Talk to himself saying: "Ho, Ho, Ho!" Also, if she is really lucky, she might catch Santa relieving himself in a snow bank when he thinks no one is looking.]

[JUMPS OUT FROM BEHIND A BUSH AT THIS MOST OPPORTUNE OF TIMES]

"You! What are you doing!"

"Aaaah! ☠☠☠☠! What the ☠☠☠☠?!?"

[Cuts off, pulls up his pants and hops a bit. His back to her.]

"I mean, uh, Ho, ho, hell kid what was that about?"

[Points almost accusatorially.]

"What's that big bag for?"

"You shouldn't be looking at that! It's...

Oh, ☠☠☠☠, you mean the gifts.

I'm Santa, I am giving gifts to all the good little boys and girls. See, the beard?"

[It is hanging an inch off his chin, hooked on his ears.]

[That's okay, she's been fooled by disguises far dumber than this one. She has no idea who she's talking to.]

"Oh!"

[Jumps up and down excitedly.]

"Give me something too!"

[When he was sure everything was tucked away he'd reach into the bag and hand her a badly wrapped gift. It had a trinket, snow globe or other little toy in it but... it might also have an unopened or emptied beer in it too.]

"Here you go little girl. Wait until you get home to open it."

[A jolly, drunken, wink.]

[By the time he gets finished saying that, she's already trying to lift off the wrapping paper to peek inside.]

"Why do I have to wait?"

"It's a surprise. If you look too soon it might not be in the box when you look."

[The Captain is going to lie to kids a lot tonight.]

"So either it's a living thing, or..."

[Her face lights up.]

"...or it's some kind of teleporting device!"

[heartstar_blues]

"It's a super secret. You got to hurry home to find out."

[The Captain was slowly losing his patience as Santa.]

"Right! Thanks again, Santa!"

[And off she goes, cheering excitedly as she holds her prize above her head.]
