I am starting on the coolest project at work.
My office is partnering with some other local agencies and organizations on a historical ecology study for Alameda Creek watershed, the major watershed that occupies most of Alameda County. It's been pointed out to me that I don't post about my work very much. I like my job a lot. I divide most of my time between walking the land on farms and ranches and parks, and making maps and conservation plans. Pretty good. Yesterday for the first time my boss gave me permission to work from home. This is cool because it lets me 1, spend almost 2 more hours of my life doing something other than driving (such as sleeping in!); 2, be near my spouse even while working; and 3, save gas money.
