Hawks and vultures are swooping around in paired mating flights over the canyon. The climate varies between winter chill at night and summer warmth in the day. This morning's golden sunrise slanted sidewise along the landscape, lighting the pale trunks of sycamores against the dark mist. Bright and dark, day and night, winter and summer are paired and mated today. Heaven and hell, the Divine Twins, are married within you. I reflect on the union of the dark body of the Star Goddess and the burning light of the Morningstar.
The balance of light and dark that is the Equinox is not a still balance, it is a dynamic one: dancing on the edge between, the shifting dawn line where the skin of the dark Twin touches the skin of the bright one in the mating dance of creation.
Happy Equinox!
