I get this "Astronomy Picture of the Day" in my email. This is today's image:
Instantly, before I had a chance to think about it, I saw it as a ghost image of the body of the Star Goddess. One breast is bright, the other shadowed; below that is a waist, a rounded belly, and a curving hip on the left. She has no head, but there is a suggestion of a shoulder on the right as if the arms were uplifted.
It's just some nebula from an obscure catalog of astronomy, but I found it striking. Particularly because it imitates nearly precisely the image and posture of the Star Goddess in one of my paintings.
