Fitness update!.... my pants are tighter rather than looser.

HOWEVER, while annoying as fuck, it isn't NECESSARILY a bad thing because my ass is probably more solid than it's been since I was about 19. My pants are tighter but it's due to muscle development. My calves and thighs are harder too, so yay! EVENTUALLY I'll have to start burning the fat and I'll start getting smaller. As it is, I was disturbed to look in the mirror and realize my ass is probably more round than it's ever been (and we all know I've got a big ass). But hey, like I said from the start, this is about HEALTH not necessarily weight loss. I’m fine with my appearance, I just want to be healthier.

Exercise regularly has also REALLY helped me sleep. Most of you know that I generally have trouble falling asleep at night. I usually lie in bed reading for 30 minutes to an hour before I start feeling sleepy. Since I've been exercising even only 30 minutes a day every day, I still get in bed to read, but I'm passing out within 10 minutes without fail. The workouts don’t make me TIRED but I guess burning off that extra energy helps my body need to sleep rather than me having to FORCE my body to shut down at night.

The downside is I eat more. Well, no, I DONT eat more, I eat just as much as I always did, but whereas used to, a cheeseburger and fries would make me feel stuffed, now I finish eating and I only feel 'not hungry'. I know that's what you're SUPPOSED to do, but I do worry the increased appetite could make me feel more inclined to snack, which is something I DO NOT do. I guess another test of my willpower is ahead of me.

ALL IN ALL! I intensely endorse an easy, short 30 minute daily light to moderate workout for EVERYBODY (well, unless you're already getting WAY more exercise like my athletic buddies). It really isn't hard and it really has made me feel so much better in most every aspect. I have more energy, I fall asleep easier, I sleep BETTER, and even after only a few weeks I've got more stamina and strength for carrying groceries and other daily chores.

update, rawr
