So, the other day Valress told me that someone on the Patrick tag on tumblr was losing their shit over Short People and I thought it was funny and was a little cringe-y because of how BAD Short People is in retrospect (HEY! 5 years ago I wasn't an English Major!!!). I went on and talked with the person some, just joking.
BUT THEN! TODAY! TODAY TODAY! I got this comment on Short People:
"Hi, I just discovered this because I was on twitter and someone suggested to Patrick that he read it. He said "Sorry, I don't think I was the intended audience, so I probably shouldn't." But I checked it out and it AMAZING! It took two days, but I finished and it was so worth it! I doubt you read comments cause this fic is a little old, but if you do, I loved it! I created an account just to tell you that I loved it! Will you marry me? Just so I can repay you for the amazing story?"
.... I was on twitter and someone suggested to Patrick that he read it.

So out of curiosity I went on my stats to see about reads on Short People...
MORE PEOPLE HAVE READ THAT FIC THIS MONTH THAN IN THE LAST YEAR! That story has had over 75 reads this month alone! Okay, that alone wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't ONE OF MY WORST FICS EVER! Sure at the time the story was interesting, but looking back from 5 years and 90% of an English degree later, IT IS SO BAD! Everything written before 2010 is TERRIBLE basically. WHY ARE PEOPLE READING THAT OLD TERRIBLE SHIT?! WHY?! WHYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!
And THEN you see the "suggested to Patrick that he read it." .... I just... *headdesk* WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!
I read that comment and it was like
