Woe of the tit variety...
Today I was finishing up the christmas shopping with my mom and one of the things was a new bra for my sister. At the store we were at, we were looking and I saw something MIRACULOUS!
It was a PRETTY bra in my size! For those unaware, 'pretty' bras tend to stop at a D cup... once you hit DD's the most fancy you really get is like... a little bow on it or something. ANYWAYS it was this pretty blue and silver frilly bra and I was all "OMFG ITS MY SIZE!" so I picked it up to inspect it and found the tag read 'extreme cleaveage, maximum push up'...
dude... okay so you know how in a pushup bra there's the push up padding at the bottom and the rest of it is the cup to fit the actual tit?
THERE WAS NO CUP TO FIT THE TIT! Like, okay... there was about 2 inches of space about half an inch deep at the VERY top of the cup for the boob to go in... um, no 38DD tit is fitting in that space. Ever. Sure is MAXIMUM push up... its called 'hello, this is a shelf for your tit to hang out of!' That was NOT a bra for somebody who WEARS 38DD, that was for somebody with about an A-cup to APPEAR to be a 38DD.
And seriously, I've said it before, I'll say it again... why does a 38DD NEED pushup anyhow?!? Seriously guys, if you are a DD, you already have big enough tits damn it! The only reason you'd need them pushed up is if you have saggy old lady tits and THEN if you have saggy old lady tits, NOBODY WANTS TO SEE THEM PUSHED UP!
Really, bra makers seem to expect you either want your tits shoved up under your chin, smooshed together to make it look like you've got an ass on your chest with 12 inches of cleavage, or they expect you want them smashed flat with a minimizer if you're over a D cup.
WHY CAN'T THEY MAKE PLAIN BRAS THAT JUST HOLD YOUR TITS IN PLACE?!? I've got a great bra that does just that, but it comes up like... 4 inches in the front so I can't wear low-cut shirts wearing it. I have my bra for 'nice' clothes (aka anything with a scoop neck) but it was fucking expensive and I don't want to spend that much money on bras all the damn time.
Seriously, can somebody please make bras for DD+ that don't shove them up, squish them flat, or cover your entire chest? Why is that so hard?!
Also, why the fuck do they make so many bras without underwire?!? I'm not wearing a wireless bra yet there seem to be more of those than bras with underwire lately. No underwire is for people with small boobs that don't NEED taming. (Although tbh if I was an A or B, I'd probably just wear tank tops with the built in sports bra and say 'fuck it' to actual bras, wouldn't you? lol)
