Tonight's HIM kick: RANDOM SHIT!
Live performance of Bittersweet (by Apocalyptica) with Ville and Lauri Ylönen (singer of The Rasmus, another pretty cool Finnish band)... quite a treat.

This is a collaboration with some GREAT musicians. From what I understand Eicca (Toppinen; the one actually from the band Apocalyptica), Ville, and Lauri all wrote it together and the idea is sort of like... Ville is the one who has been scorned by love and his parts are like... really bitter and hurt. Lauri's parts are more like he's longing for her. And the Chorus brings the two concepts together. They're both under love's 'bittersweet spell' but in different ways. Ville is in love with someone who broke his heart and Lauri's in love with someone and it seems to be unrequieted.

The song is really great. I love all three bands represented (The Rasmus less so, but they're still pretty awesome) so of course it's easily one of the most amazing collaborations I've ever heard. I'm a ridiculous fan of Apocalyptica because, as most of you know, the way to my heart is with a cello, so throw in a bunch of beautiful Finnish men (i have a thing, okay *blushes*), two of which have beautiful voices and of COURSE I'm sold!
JUST MY INTERPRETATION! The whole point of a song is to get your own feelings from it.
