OKAY, so apparantly today's super-cute interview that made me giggle apparantly cause a shit-storm and the birth of a thousand kittens from human's because *gasp* BILL MADE A JOKE!!!
I've seen everything from "Oh that was kinda rude to" "OMFG I HATE YOU BILL I LOVED YOU BUT NOW YOU ARE SHIT AND I HOPE YOU DIE" ... sadly I'm not joking. The joke in question I didn't understand at first because I had no clue in hell who Beth Ditto was..
BUT if you notice on the part where Georg has a cute English fail and says "it doesnt depend who" when talking about being a woman for a day, Bill says "Then you can be Beth Ditto", there is a small laughter moment and it's done.
... APPARANTLY that was equivalent, according to someone I saw, to "One day he'll mess up and say he hates black people or something, because then I'd like to see people make excuses for him"
... oh wow.... I dont even know what to say there...
OTHER THAN ARE YOU SERIOUS PEOPLE?!? Oh my God, he didn't say anything RUDE! It was a JOKE! A simple, harmless joke. Some people are making excuses like 'well 20 year old boys always say rude things' but ITS NOT THAT RUDE!!!
I know I'm going the opposite and freaking out BECAUSE people freaked out but this is one of those cases where I'm torn between shouting and waving and just shaking my head sadly.
From what I hear, this Beth Ditto person would probably laugh at the joke herself, so I REALLY dont see the big deal. I can see freaking out about it if he said something BAD... but he hasn't!
And someone was all 'well you dont know her so you dont care' so?!? I didn't get all butthurt when he made that nasty face when he was asked about Adam Lambert, and you all know I ADORE Adam!
Bill says tons of bitchy shit and people still love him, but when he makes a harmless joke people get REALLY upset over it?!?

This is why I liked FBR and MCR fandoms before they started to die... people didn't get pissy about stuff that was totally pointless (not that I saw much of anyways).
